September 2021 - Wyoming Veterans Home Fishing Pond

Edie, Donna and Unit and Post Members

Donna Gladson and Edie Taffner were honored for their many years of volunteering at the WY Veterans Home. The bench is down at the Fishing Pond.

October 2021

The Cheyenne VAVS sponsored a Drive By Baby Shower for female veterans. Forty female veterans took part in the Baby Shower.
 
Volunteers set up several stations
The shower begins.
This station gave out purple bags filled with baby bottle, blankets, pacifiers, etc. The silver bags from the Department of WY were filled with crayons, coloring books, bubbles reading books, cookies, chips, etc. Did not want the siblings feel left out while mom was getting for the baby. The black bags were diaper bags filled with the essentials.
This station gave out diapers, little ones small clothes, homemade blankets, homemade burp cloths, etc.
Volunteers helped load the cars
 
Food Station with Swedish meatballs, fruit cups, water, cupcakes, chips and peanut butter, jelly sandwiches for the little ones. You see Gail Keeler in blue shirt, ALA Unit 6 helping.
Flu shots were offered.
