SCHOLARSHIPS
|
The American Legion Auxiliary has four
national scholarships that are awarded each
year:
• Children of Warriors National
Presidents’ Scholarship–15 $5,000
scholarships
• Spirit of Youth Scholarship – 5 $5,000
scholarships, up to 47 $1,000 scholarships
• Non-Traditional Student Scholarship – 5
$2,000 scholarships
• Member Loyalty Scholarship – 10 $2,500
scholarships
All require on-line applications ( http://www.alaforveterans.org/scholarships)
with closing date of March 1, 2025.
The Department of Wyoming has two
scholarships available with application
forms available on
http://www.wylegionaux.org:
• E.A. Blackmore Scholarship – 1 $1,000
scholarship
• Dorothy Alden Memorial Scholarship
Girl State attendees are eligible for the
following scholarships:
• Samsung Scholarship - $10,000
application on National website
• Various scholarships to the University
of Wyoming as well as the Community Colleges
throughout the state |

Annual Reporting Guidelines – due May 1,
2025 Include
photos in high-resolution format (at least
3000 DPI) using "actual size" for attaching
to e-mail.
1. How did you promote Give 10 to
Education? – Give 10 items (pens, pencils,
balls, etc.) to local school(s)
2. How did you participate in American
Education Week and Teacher Appreciation
Week?
3. How did you participate in Veterans in
Community Schools?
4. Did you offer any scholarships in your
Unit? Did you have any participation in
National Scholarships?
