District
Presidents are asked to visit
their Units as least once a
year. Many of our Units don’t
attend Department Meetings and
the District President
visitation is to share
information from Department
Meetings, answer questions and
help the Unit have a successful
year.
District
Spring Conference
Each District
holds a Spring Conference with
The American Legion setting the
date and place for the District
Meeting. The meeting is either
on a Saturday or Sunday in
April. The Spring Conference
give the Units a chance to share
with other Units what programs
and activities worked during the
year. Awards may be given. Nominations are made from the
floor for a District President
and District Vice President. The District Vice President is
elected at the Conference while
the nomination for District
President is held at Department
Convention held in June. |
